TikTok Live Sound Alerts For Events
By Jamie
Getting sound alerts for TikTok Live is pretty easy and there's a few options to choose from. We'll be ranking each option by their ability to be customized, how easy they are to use, and each product's other available features.
TikTok Live Studio offers a minimal set of features for support follows, gifts, or subscription events. However it offers very little in the way of alert customization.
Customization
If TikTok Live Studio was a cat it would probably be a domestic house cat. It spends a lot of it's time laying around sleeping. And when you try to train it to do something new, it doesn't do much except nuzzle up next to you doing the same old thing it always does. A good companion but not necessarily a go getter.
The Good
- Alerts can have custom images
- Alerts can have custom sounds
- Alerts can have custom text with usernames
- There are some nice out of the box alert themes they provide
- No "Go Live" button required
The Bad
- You can only have one alert for each a gift / follower / subscriber
- An alert can only be displayed for up to 3 seconds
- Custom text may only be up to 100 characters
- There's no text to speech
- There's only 2 layouts image on the left text on the right or image on top, text underneath
- No cross platform event support
- No MacOS support
Ultimately TikTok Live Studio isn't great for customization, your sound alerts are going to look a lot like everyone else's and there won't be any diversity for your viewers which may reduce their motivation to send gifts or other events.
Ease of Use
TikTok Live Studio is very easy to use and due to the lack of customization it makes itself quite easy to use for streaming newcomers.
Due to the lack of customization TikTok is able to keep the UI itself very simple to grasp. Which makes it extremely clear how each event is configured. Additionally the nice large preview box makes it very easy to understand what an alert will look like.
Other Features
TikTok Live Studio is an actual broadcasting software for Windows machines as well as various widgets such as Goals, a Chatbox, Viewer ranking, static text, or a static image.
Streaming Client
As a streaming client TikTok Live Studio works.
However there have been numerous reports about it's terrible resource usage and can be a quite demanding application to run.
To quote one Reddit user:
i believe live studio is a horrible piece of software and isn't optimized in any way.
On their website TikTok Live Studio recommends 16GB of memory.
Where a quick Google reveals OBS users recommended 4GB of memory.
So why use TikTok Live Studio? Well because they don't give streaming keys out so if you want to stream on TikTok Live you'll most likely have to use TikTok Live Studio. Alternatively you can actually stream to TikTok Live using Streamlabs which also recommends 16GB of memory.
Widgets
Much like their sound alerts most of their widgets follow the expected standard and don't offer much customization. But for things like static images or static text, that's usually perfectly acceptable.
TikFinity has been on the market for longer than any tool we'll be discussing today and for good reason. They do a lot and they let you do a lot.
Customization
If TikFinity was a cat it would probably be a jaguar. It does it all, it swims, runs, climbs up trees, hunts, etc. It may not necessary be a great partner in so much that you understand what it's doing or if it likes you. But you can always rely on it to go out and hunt for new ways of making your stream unique.

The Good
- Alerts can have custom images & sounds
- Multiple alerts for a single event, with random or requirement based triggers
- Basic text to speech
- Multiple overlay URLs for sound alerts
- You can do nearly anything when an event occurs
The Bad
- At a glance it's unclear what your alert will look like
- So many options can make it overwhelming
- No browsing your uploaded sounds or images
- No GIF integration, you must supply your own
- Only 5 events allowed unless you pay $19 a month
- May be illegally providing animation assets
- Cannot change text & image layout
- Must manually press a "Go Live" button whenever you start streaming
- No cross platform event support
There are certain things like layout that can't be changed or direct CSS or HTML customization that can't be done. But TikFinity is still great for TikTok Live event customization. It does so much more than what I've listed above. However it doesn't necessarily make what your sound alert will look like very clear. However if you want to start somewhere that you know will scale and provide you a lot to work with in terms of integrations TikFinity is a great place to start.

(They may be illegally providing animation assets since they seem to be hosted by a unrelated party & the creators of the actual animations may not be getting credited as they should).
Ease of Use
TikFinity's Sound Alerts are somewhat overwhelming at first but once you take some time gather that there's Actions & Events it mostly makes sense. An event is a description of what will trigger your specified action and action is a description of something which should happen.
So for instance a Gift Heart event may trigger a Gift Alert action which you've defined to show an image and play sound audio.

While the paradigm makes sense it's still unclear at a glance what an action will look like as there is no preview provided.
Other Features
TikFinity offers quite a few other features, but I'm going to breeze over the notable ones: Widgets, & a point system.
Widgets
TikFinity offers a ton of widgets which are fairly self explanatory, I'll list a the notable ones:
- A Timer
- Last Follower / Gifter / Subscriber / Like / Share / Chatter
- Goals Likes / Shares/ Follows / Viewers / Coins / Points
- Chatbox
- Stream Avatars
- Emoji wall
- Gift feed
- Points Animations
- Wheel of fortune
- Song requests
- And much, much more...
If you want a specific widget TikFinity likely has it!
Point System
TikFinity offers a complete point system similar to Twitch's channel points that rewards viewers for watching the stream, sending gifts, liking, sharing, chatting, etc.
It's completely configurable so you can determine when a viewer should earn points and reward viewers for interacting with your stream.
Points can then be used with various widgets such as song requests, a ranking of highest point holders, sending text to speech messages, and many more features.
ShareVoice aims to strikes a balance between ease of use and customization. Focused on cross platform sound alerts.
Customization
If ShareVoice was a cat it'd be a tiger, it does quite a few things swimming, climbing, hunting, but at the end of the day it's recognizable by everyone.
The Good
- Alerts can have custom images / sounds
- Alerts can have custom text with usernames
- Browsable media library
- Cross platform event support
- Advanced text to speech support
- Clear indication of what a sound alert looks like
- Multiple alerts for a single event
The Bad
- Must manually press a "Go Live" button whenever you start streaming
- Advanced sound alert customization isn't possible
- Only 1 overlay URL for sound alerts
ShareVoice makes sound alert customization very easy to do. With a searchable GIF library & over 100 curated sound effects with images it's very easy to find sounds and images to associate with a sound alert. Not to mention their advanced audio orchestration engine allows text to speech with sounds in the message, which makes it possible to create unique sounds without any additional software necessary.

ShareVoice provides a strong place to start with strong customization available for your sound alerts. If you need really advanced integration with other applications TikFinity may be a better choice. Great if you want to get started quickly and know you'll have a strong customization options in the future.
Ease of Use
ShareVoice follows standard paradigms set fourth by SoundAlerts and StreamElements but also introduces a pretty simple audio orchestration engine.
Upon clicking a reaction it's immediately obvious what it will display and the associated audio. Additionally the timeline makes it very obvious when the audio is played and how long the display is displayed.
They also offer full mobile support, however certain operations such as changing the display message can be hard to see on the mobile interface making edits with a keyboard present.
Other Features
ShareVoice really focuses primary sound alerts, but offers cross platform support, a Discord bot, & full moderation tooling.
Cross Platform Support
ShareVoice allows having all your sound alerts for TikTok Live, Twitch, and YouTube in one place. Additionally it provides a feed for stream events along with the ability to replay events.

Discord Bot
ShareVoice offers a simple Discord bot that lets your Discord server make use of the audio engine orchestration. Automatically converting messages text to speech with sounds or having the bot join the chat and read a message out loud.
Moderation
ShareVoice also offers an array of moderation tooling stemming from inviting activity feed moderators or providing custom defined inappropriate words.

Their moderation tooling lets you defined bad words, use a predefined bad word list, or invite moderators to help manage your stream reactions which is useful for when users can provide messages that may be inappropriate for your stream.
If you're looking for sound alerts and tons of integrations or different widgets for your stream I'd recommend going with TikFinity. It may take longer to get everything setup but if you have a complex configurations and need a way to connect everything to TikTok this is likely your best bet.
Whereas if you're looking for sound alerts that are quick to configure, easy and customizable. Or you're looking for the flexibility to stream on Twitch, or YouTube in the future. Choosing ShareVoice is a strong decision.
If you're planning on only streaming to TikTok Live and no other platform, want something extremely straightforward, simple & without much customization, & have a strong PC TikTok Live Studio is likely the way you want to go.
